1 lb meatloaf mix (beef, pork, veal)
1/2 cup minced onion
3/4 cup plain bread crumbs
1 tbs kosher salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 egg yolks
Combine all ingredients and form into small meatballs.
In a large bowl, whisk together 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 cup water, 2 tablespoons of brown gravy powder mix (or one cup of beef broth), and a dash of nutmeg.
Brown the meatballs in a large skillet. Pour the sauce on top and once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 30 minutes.
Serve over egg noodles, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
